Hello all,
I am an all grain brewer and have been for a few years.
I have a 3 vessel system and am about to add a HERMS exchanger. While researching for the HERMS I came across this site, which I found to have some very useful information and pictures.
I tend to brew mainly English ales and also ales using Australian and New Zealand hops.
Cheers

Welcome to the forum - are you part of the Melbourne Brewers Association?

Great to have you on board , I am always impressed by the level of home brewing in Australia that I see on the web , we have a lot to learn from you lot downunder !

Thank you all for the welcome.
No, I'm not in the Melbourne Brewers.
In the short time I have been reading this forum I have been impressed with the way people conduct themselves which on some forums can be lacking. Also, the breadth of knowledge.
Hope everyone enjoyed their christmas and new year celebrations.
Cheers

Hope she has a good trip. If she gets around central Victoria, you never know.
For the record, Maggiegirl is the name of one of my pet goats, I am actually a bloke.

I have two Saanens. I did have an Anglo Nubian, but I had to have him put down last year, he was about twelve years old. The two Saanens are brother and sister and are nearly fourteen. I was in the UK for a month last year and didn't see any goats at all. Do many people keep goats inthe UK?

Not so many now I think but the people who DO have them tend to have more . In the 70s it was quite a big deal with milk recording contests and shows and so on . Now it seems to me that its more on a small business footing than a smallholding style but things may be changing . The whole smallholding thing is picking up again mostly due to the River Cottage TV shows . Me , I had a bit of a set to with the presenter of the show at a big national event so I dont hold him in the highest regard .
