Hello folks, I'm Les from North East Scotland and got introduced to this wonderful hobby by virtue of the fact that my wife gave me a Brooklyn Brew Shop beer kit at Christmas (Chocolate Porter).
Anyway I'm now drinking my way through the 6x500ml bottles that I managed to produce and I reckon it's very tasty.
I'll freely admit to making some basic mistakes mind you:- such as using a wooden spoon to stir my mash :nono: and managing to get a mouthful of my Porter when I was siphoning it into the bottles :nono:.
But, for all that I reckon I've produced (well in my opinion) a cracking tasting beer.
I look forward to brewing more with less mistakes and browsing this forum to hoover up some tips :thumb:
Here's a couple of pictures of my first batch:- one fermenting and the other poured
