Hello all!
Started brewing around six weeks or so ago, started with a wherry, seemed like a popular choice and it came with the setup! Looking back it was probably not such a good choice for a first timer. I think the wherry just takes too long to clear and start tasting as it should for the impatient new brewer!
I have since brewed a Cellar 7 Pinot grigio, a "ditch" Stout a coopers Mexican Cerveza and a Festival Pride of London Porter. The stout and the Cerveza have cleared and are quite drinkable, the wine is excellent! The wherry however is only just starting to clear, at least the 500ml bottled ones are. The extra that was bottled in 2l PET bottles is still as cloudy as the day it was bottled.
I've managed to stay away from the keg full of Porter, with all good intentions of leaving it for Christmas!
With all this brewed, I now have 2 empty fermenters...
