Just a quick intro as I've done this bit before a few years back but have just started brewing again. I have just moved house and have an extension at the back of the kitchen/lobby area that I use for my brewing.

I have two beer fermenting fridges that I use in conjunction with two STC 1000's and make bitter, lager, IPA and the odd TC for the wife. Most nowadays are two can kits, mainly Woodfordes Wherry or St Peters IPA with the occasional Coopers Euro lager, I have all the kit for AG as I used to do that a few years ago but not sure if it will be coming out anytime soon. I have two beers fermenting at the moment a coopers IPA and a Wherry that I made today, just bottled a lager and a wherry a few days ago and they are both conditioning nicely in a rigged up wardrobe that has an aquarium heater stat with a greenhouse bar heater connected set at 20 degsC it keeps temp on average around 18 degsC. I have another 5 days or so until I will try the first brew(Wherry) so fingers crossed it will be as good as they used to be.

I use Videne mixed for rinse free to disinfect everything as I used to before.

Happy brewing to you all

Colin.

Welcome back indeed!

Life is much better for the odd "step-aside and do something different".

I too decided to re-activate the brewing bug after a long lay-off, but I have to warn you that if you stick around, Kits will take a back seat as you venture into All Grain!

Enjoy!

That'll be because you're out of practice! athumb..

I was looking at the Grainfather Yesterday, they've come down in price since I last did it and now they have the connect feature for the phone, If I ever want a quick divorce then all I have to do is buy one.

Believe me when I tell you that you are not alone! Just mentioning the subject can lead to a cessation of marital rights.

NB

"Marital rights" are two words that are constantly being misused by being linked together.

The fact that a man is married in no way means that he has any "rights" whatsoever.

Indeed, during an argument between a woman and her spouse the man will discover that, whatever the subject, he will always be wrong and this will be reinforced by:
  1. Repeating a "promise" that the man made. (This was actually a grunt extracted from the man in response to a whispered question that was asked during a cup final or something similar.)
  2. "Proof" that the man said something totally different in an argument that took place twenty years before and which the man had forgotten.
Cynical? Me? Probably!
