Getting fed up with elements cutting out and I found THESE in my bookmarks...any good?
Also anyone know what size hole do they take and which leads.....oh and would one or two be needed :wha:

They have the safety cut out fitted so you would still have to remove them. Looks like the elements I have in my "old" boiler, takes standard IEC cables 38mm cut out if I remember correctly.

Have a look at this thread S.

I used an old copper cylinder as my hot Water supply and brazed (copper phosphorus rods ) an extra old immersion heated fitting on from another scrap cylinder, to give two heaters. Six Kilowatts and always a backup ;)
I believe toolstation do two, 2 1/4 bsp fitting for immersions, both braze on and compression.
I posted my build in another post if anyone is interested . I set my second heated vertical like the original, which means there has to be quite alot of water in the tank to use them. I am toying with fitting one of those short elements, I think about 5 inches long, from Backer. Trouble is these were about £20 ish from memory. :) Would be really useful though for small volumes of water :hmm:

Looks like it fits with the two nuts, just needs the live terminals protecting somehow ?
