does anyone warm up they're hop pellets before dry hopping? i read on some forums this helps with the overall hoppy aroma.

i heated some up in the microwave for a min, they opened up a bit but decided against putting them in the fv as i didnt have enough info on the right or wrong's.:-?

It doesn't sound like a good idea to me. If you heat them too much you will drive off the volatile compounds that you are trying to capture. Bringing them up to room temperature by leaving them out of the freezer for a bit sounds sensible but I wouldn't deliberately heat them.

Sounds like an old wives tale to me.

I would think whatever temp. you add then at they will immediately go to the temp of the beer. There could be a thing that they get ready to release more aroma or something. After typing this I realise I actually have no idea, sorry.
