HBC golden pale ale extract kit - which DME?

Hi all, I'm going to do a HBC golden pale ale extract kit, just got my boiler this morning from nisbets (separate thread), on HBC it says 2.5kg DMC, but which do you go for? I'm guessing light? But I really don't know what's what yet so how do I know?

hi , yes go for light or extra light , as its a golden ale you don't want any more colour to be added from the malt or flavour . The medium and dark dme are more for bitters and stouts etc . The lighter the brew the lighter the malt needed such as extra light for a lager :
