Does any one know a cheap place to buy this. Im looking to make a hazelnut porter and im going to use hazelnut syrup like they use in the coffee shops.

The problem is, when i look online, I can only find the stuff for between £7 - £10 pounds with about £5 delivery. Cheapest combined is £11 for 1 bottle.

Does anyone know a shop that would stock it or a cheaper online retailer.

I think I've seen it somewhere weird, like on an auction site (real auction, that is, not eBay, but you can bid online live) selling stuff from bankrupt food retail businesses. Bit of a long shot, really.

Know a local coffee bar where they can stick one on their next wholesale order for you?

Starbucks sell it £3.75 online but maybe it's a small bottle or not so strong, or something.

I like the sound of hazelnut porter!

If you are into a bit of DIY then you can make your own extract - recipe here

and then make your own syrup recipe here

Sounds like it would be cheaper than buying the finished article.

:thumb: and if you wanted a long term project you could grow your own hazelnuts.

Good luck with your porter.
