Started to make a coopers cervaza today, all went well - so I thought , had just put the lid on after adding the yeast when I realised like an idiot I had forgot to add the coppers brew enchacer, god what a idiot. Quickly added and stirred it all in but will it work?
Was really pleased with my self upto then.
Just don't know if it'll work now :wha:

Any ideas?

No problems bud, brew enhancer can be added at pretty much any time early on without any real worry :)

Hope it all comes good, had a quick peek not long ago and there were some clumps so stirred them till they went fingers crossed it works. Felt such an idiot when I picked the box of brew enhancer up to bin it and realised it was full. Was a definite homer moment DOH lol.

Well after 24 hrs it seems to be fermenting happily so looks like no harm done thank god.
Still feel a idiot though lol

Right after just over a week, sg is where it should be but there's still little bubbles coming up. What do you think? Leave a little longer or is it ok to bottle / barrell it.?

It looks right and smells nice, better than the last two youngs I did though.

My experience of leaving things in the bucket too long has been them going sour. These days I take it straight to it's last stop as soon as the fermentation has finished, so I say go for it.

The general rule of thumb is if you get the same gravity reading 24 hours apart it's done...simples :thumb:

Well checked sg again and it's pretty much unchanged.

Looks like we good to go,
Thing is I want to keg this brew, and am unsure with the primeming, I want a good head and fizz but not excessive, have read various things , all with varying amounts of sugar to be added, from 2oz/ 56 grams total or 8g a litre which is 184g so am unsure what to do.

Any body got any recommendations?

You cannot get fizz with a plastic keg I'm afraid. You can get mild carbonation, but nto fizz. If you want fiz, you need to sue bottles, or use 'corny' kegs.

I've had decent carbonation through correct priming in a plastic keg...Prime, warm for 2 weeks, cold for 2 weeks. That's what makes the difference imo, because most of us plastic keg users just gas it and drink it

I know you can't get to lager fizz, but it can get decent.

Ah right ho. Looks like I'm of to tesco in the morning for some carbonation drops. Bottling I will be.
Barrel best for something like an ale then?
