Took delivery of a lovely ikegger 5 litre keg kit on Friday to dip my toe into the world of kegging.

I watched all of the videos, read all of the instructions, and decided to have a play with it using water after a few beers last night.

Despite having read the instructions I still done exactly the opposite of what I was supposed to do, I screwed the co2 bulb in with the regulator set to fully open, as opposed to the recommended off position.

Have I likely borked my regulator? What are the signs of a busted regulator? It appears to hold pressure and dispense ok, but maybe there’s something I’m missing.

Probably not but you may have emptied the CO2 bulb. Try a new bulb and see if pressure gauge moves when you twiddle your knob!

Oh yeh I tried another co2 bulb and it dispenses perfectly fine and appears to hold pressure.

It makes a funny squeal as it comes up to pressure but that sounds like it’s coming from the keg and not the regulator so I assumed that was normal.
