Hello all. Bit of a advice for a new fish if you will!

So I made my first brew a few months back - Harvest Pilsner Lager starter kit - everything went well. I did the initial ferment for 13 days (using granulated sugar) in a dark room-temp cupboard and activity slowed down so I bottled it all up - fiddley for the first time but it all went find (and got over my fear of bottle bombs).

So 2 months on the bottles have sat at room-temp in the same cupboard. I cracked one open yesterday and it was really nice -crisp and very drinkable. I'd say a decent result for my first attempt.

However, the beer hasn't become clear like regular lagers - it's still slightly cloudy aven after 2 months. Am I expecting too much for a room temperature conditioning? - I just don't have the room or facilities to cool a lot of bottles for a long period of time.

I have about ten bottles in my fridge at the moment hoping that that will achieve that clear lager look.

Any advise from you brewing geniuses?

If you are drinking them from the fridge then chances are it's chill haze, once the beer warms it will start to clear again, hope that helps :thumb:

yes take one out of the fridge for 24 hours before trying see if the cloudiness has gone.

Id imagine its chill haze unless you have stirred up a bit of sediment in the bottle when pouring. It happens with most kits, its purely cosmetic though
