Growing hops, windy garden?

Is it possible to grow decent hop plants in a windy garden?

Most of the online guides I’ve read say choose a spot sheltered from the wind but my garden is often quite windy everywhere.

Would I be able to grow dwarf varieties?

Apart from the Shetlands (where trees can't grow without help), almost everywhere in the UK isn't "windy".

Someone on the Forum suggested that Hops are actually weeds that will grow just about anywhere, so I reckon you should give it a go and make sure that anything you install for the hop to grow up is securely anchored.
