Hi
Nice place you've got here.
I've been looking after and serving beer for a few years.
I've decided I cannot fully understand beer until I have brewed it!
I'm now here!
Hello!!!!!!!

Welcome, I have only just joined ,but I am finding a host of very helpfull people and loads of great info.
Where abouts in Sheffield are you ? I am in Fulwood, glad to see Carl ask if you are a Blade , I dont like to mention the other lot!!
Rob in Dronny, do you get down to the Coach much to sample the Thornbridge?
I have the Rising sun on my doorstep and would love to clone Abbeydales Absolution in the future

Been to the Coach and Horses quite a bit, The Jaipur is beautiful but gives me one hell of a headache.

Our local club at Hill top has a real ale section, currently they have Abbeydale as a guest beer, Moonshine and Brimstone, both of which are fabulous. I could try to capture the yeasties from the cask if you want to try to clone

Welcome to the forum, lots of knowledge, help and fun here. :D

That would be great in the future. Rob I haven't got my gear yet as I am selling my fish tanks to make room for my brewing. The sale is funding it so need to sell it all ( £600 in the fund so far!)
I go in the coach after football on a Wednesday night, but I am usually driving and find Thornbridge are too strong (apart from Wild Swan of which I am not a big fan). Having a night at the Greystones next Saturday and will be sinking a few Jaipur. I wish Thornbridge pubs would put a couple of guest beers, but they are a bit of a closed shop in that regard

You might regret saying that! seriously thanks for the offer I will pm you for advice shortly.
I agree about the tap , it is our regular starting point for sheffield pub crawls, good beer and a good atmosphere.
