Hi brewers,

My name is Bojan. I live in Croatia and I'm a homebrewer. Currently I'm drinking Brow Ale and English Pale Ale, conditioning Belgian Wit and fermenting Dry Stout and Weizen!

Cheers

Thanks everyone!

@dennisking - There are many homebrewers in Croatia. We had trouble to find malt till month ago till one guy started to import malts from Slovenia (malting castle company from Belgium). Now we have almost everything. I still order yeast and hops from UK. We have only Aurora hops and it's very cheap. About 7.5 pounds for 1kg. It is dual purpose.

Aurora are a great hop, also good to see you making a good English and Belgian beers are they available in Croatia

Hi Bojan, I holidayed in Croatia a few years ago and I thought it was a fab place, certainly somewhere we will be going back to. Didn't see much English ale about though.

Hi, Bojan, and welcome.

Aljosa Asanovic and Igor Stimac were absolute stars when they played for my club, Derby County.

Regarding Croatian beers, I had some Ozujsko when I was in Dublin a few weeks ago. It was ok, but nothing out of the ordinary. Hopefully your home brew is far superior.

I was in 'Yugoslavia' in 1988 (Top part) and was warned not to drink the local beer

I suppose that's why there are so many home brewers in Croatia :thumb:

Thanx mates :) Ozujsko and other commercial beers from Croatia sucks :D

I was being polite when I said it was 'ok'.

It was probably 'ok' for keeping greenfly off the roses, but not for drinking.
