Hi all, complete newbie to brewing beer, in fact 36 hours new and already one brew down the drain due to high temperature of 30c. Love my beer and love the idea of brewing my own, lets hope I will be drinking it shortly.

Welcome. Ok 30c is not good but not that bad to warrant chucking down the drain. Hope the next one turns out great.

hi and welcome to the forum ... :thumb: .

1 how long was your brew at 30c..
2 if it hapends again dont chuck it ....
cool it down...

heres how i try tocontrol my temp ...

put your fv in a flexible bucket ....
and then fill it with water up to about 2 inches from the top...

place the fv in there so you can still see your stick on thermometer...
plus put a stick on thermometer on the out side of your flexy bucket ...

if the temp starts to rise to much...
syphon out some of the water from the flexy bucket...
and replace it with cold .... :thumb: ...

i hope this helps ....

regards mick.... :hat:
