I seem to be pestered with greenfly this year , what's the best/safest way to get rid of the little chuffs?

Kev

I use a weak solution of washing up liquid and water in a spray bottle on all the affected plants

No I just do it to keep the plants shiny

I think it stops them breathing or something, but the buggers die and turn black

Washing up liquid does seem the least offensive solution. I don't like the idea of spraying nasty chemicals on things I'm going to eat, or would be going into my beer.

Crush 1 clove of garlic into a pint of hot water and spray the little green b*****ds. There is a lot of greenfly around at the moment. The garlic mix wont kill them they just p**s of somewhere else.
