The hop harvest this year has been amazing to I tried a simple extract brew just to experiment with some green ones.
I used
2oz fresh hops
2lb malt extract
1.5 lbs sugar
25 pints/14 litres of water.
Boiled hops and malt extract for 45 mins then added sugar. Cooled then added yeast. Just had a taste, after fermenting for 10 days and it is delicious the fresh hops have made it taste like an IPA. Its still a little sweet but reading of 1010 so not too fussed as that should ferment out. Not 100% sure of the variety of hop but think it is goldings.
