Brewing at the weekend and planing a single hop brew using green bullet hop s for the first time. Any thoughts on this one, is it like Nelson sauvin or something different. Hoping to get a nice summer ale to drink in the August heatwave I'm expecting.

i think it's a big bittering hop and not much else...you might wanna use something out for aroma, or maybe make a wheat beer or english ale with a good yeast, nice and fizzy, should make a great summer ale :thumb:

I've only used it for bittering, but I think there's some commercial single hopped beers about and almost sure someone on here has done one. :thumb:

The fact it's marketed as a duel purpose hop was the reason I thought of a single hop, bunging a lot in at the end. When trying a hop for the first time I like to do a single hop brew to become acquainted.

well good luck with it Dennis, I'm sure I had a pint of a Green Bullet single hop beer in a Wetherspoon's pub, but can't think of the name, tasted ok though.

the notes I have for the hop are "excellent bittering power, Styrian style of pine/lemon crispness" so it might be a Green Bullet Stunner

I know Robbies (Robinson's, of Stockport). Have used it a bit in recent brews. Its not totally in your face but a bit more upfront compared to the 'stock' UK hop profile. It has worked well for me in T90 Pellets dry hopping in FV for pale UK beers. As said its like a supercharged Fuggles or Styian Goldings IMO.
