Hi all, doing my 2nd ever brew at the moment, which is 5 days into fermentation, SG down to 1013 from 1039. Wondering whether I should dry hop this attempt? And if so, how do I go about it? :)

Also looking to use some finings, from what I've read this is gelatine? Do I have this right?

I am not too clued up on dry hopping as it's a bit of a trial and error process. You would simply take a small hop bag (homebrew shops sell them) or cut the end off a stocking. Make sure you boil it and then fill with you desired aroma hops and add to the keg. I am not sure which hop or how much but I know you can get ready made dry hopping bags from HBS so it might be worthwhile experimenting with one of those to get a feel for what can be achieved.

Finings are fairly easy, you can use simple gelatine. Just take half a pint of you beer and disolve the contents of a sachet as per the instructions on the back. Add this to the keg and add the rest of the beer and wait a few days. You can also get isanglas from homebrew shops which will do the same job but it more effective (in my opinion).
