hi folks

I was about to rack my current extract into a secondary this morning but the grav was 1.05!! It was 1.12 couple of days ago and I expected it to be the same today

my question is- is 1.05 very low. the og was also very high- 1.73. It's a belgian pale ale- used candi sugar that came with the kit. kit was from great northern. it smells and tastes amazing, but was intrigued by the og and current gravity- any thoughts?

I'm assuming you mean the OG was 1.073, you thought it was done at 1.012, but it is now down to 1.005. Correct?

Belgian yeasts are very attenuative and I've had them drop below 1.000 before. My last Saison finished at 0.998. Nothing wrong with that. How long was it in the primary?
