Grain use by date?

I've had about 6kg of MO in the shed (cool and dry) all tied up in its inner plastic sack since my last brew back in April, must okay right

Plan on doing a brew soon and have ordered additional grains, hops and kit from John. Elements need fitting first and most importantly need to settle on a recipe :hmm:

I hope grain stored in airtight bags in a cool place is good for a while, since that's exactly how I do it!

I think in an ideal world you'd brew with the grains as soon as possible after crushing, but that's not an option for most brewers.

Generally, if it smells OK it is OK!

+1 I've got about 2/3 of a sack of MO that I need to use..
