grain query

Hi chaps a farmer I know has offered me a sack of grain free :) the only thing I can find out about it is , its called pearl, and he was trying to sell it Carlsberg! can anyone tell me more???

I`ve used pearl before, not as good as Maris Otter IMO and the sack I had was Muntons who are the worst of the maltsters I`ve tried but if its free that will improve it.

I would assume that it is un malted grain....... Have you got the knowhow and space to malt a sack of grain.............

Snail is right check if the grain are malted or not the grains will need to be malted before you can crush them and use them :thumb:
