Hi all I have a recipe for gooseberry wine it states I need to add 100g of blueberries but no rationale for this any ideas anyone? Will it taint the colour?
Never made Gooseberry wine but some varieties do have very differing tastes, blueberries are probably there to add some width of flavour or as you suggest a slight reddish hue, you can always omit them or add something else.
