I wouldn't recommend a book these days, just ask goggle for whatever recipe you can think of, but after a while you just get a feel for what to use and how to prepare it and experimenting is good fun and just like cooking it may not always be your best meal/wine (or it may) but it is usually edible/drinkabe

I quite like having a physical book to read. I've got one I like which has a little bit of everything: Ciders, wines, beers, sodas, sake. It's titled "true brews".

Cqr - I like the ccj berry book

I am with cheapbrew on this and there is always the fountain of knowledge here in the forum but if you want a book then as Cqr posted you cannot go wrong with ccj berry.

I do have two books I bought years ago, CJJ Berry's book "130 new winemaking recipes" and the "St Michael's, Ben Turner's Home made Wines and beers" which gives seasonal recipes.

I had a look at that after reading this thread.

Have you read that one Cqr? I really like the look of it, and am half tempted for an e-bay purchase! I love 'Bens adventures in Wine Making' as recipes or not I find it entertaining. Another that I remember my Grandfather using was something like wine making by month or similar - he used to get success from that I think. I can see the cover in my mind - it was yellow, paperback with a brown picture on! I must see if I can find out what its really called!
