Thought I would introduce myself, as i've got a question and thought it a bit rude if I just plough straight in.

I somehow came across Craigtube's videos (i'm sure you've heard of him) on YouTube, which interested me in the idea of homebrew. I thought I would start off small, trying a hard apple cider without much kit first.

I'll see how it goes, and if it's successful I might buy what I need for a first batch of bitter.

Thanks!

nice to meet you! good luck with the cider, you'll soon be hooked!

(is that a milkshake? )

Haha, that is indeed a milkshake.

Hazelnut or pistachio, I can't remember ;(

Cheers!

Hey, thanks!

I'm going to see how this cider goes, then maybe get stuff for beer.

Cheers,

Welcome Jhill,

Oh the good ol Craigtube, I myself am a big fan of Craig. I watched all of his videos and he is very good at helping the green brewer. I actually made my first kit all off the advice of Craigtube and it was a Coopers Pale Ale. I know he gets a lot of grief because he has been extract brewing for 25 years and never went AG. Also I have read about people bashing his sterilization techniques. He lives in Canada so it’s probably too cold up there to even get an infected batch. He also claims that he has never got an infected batch in 25 years. I think he has never had a infected batch that he didn’t drink in 25 years, LOL. But he has a great and very entertaining video called “All grain vs extract the debate is over”. It is a must see. Good luck on your first batch of hard apple cider. Let us know how it goes.

Bobby
