Good morning at the boot sale

Just back from a one off local boot sale. Managed to pickup a NEW Thermos 32l Cool box for £4 & a used cordless kettle (to rip the element out of) for £1 ,also picked up a reel of 13A mains cable (about 5-7m on it) for £2.

So now to convert the Cool Box to a 32l Mash Tun, something to do this afternoon I think :

Well done..a good days hunting.. is this the start of AG brewing or just an upgrade???

Just an upgrade, this will be my 4th Mash Tun (if memory is correct).
I keep breaking the handles, and on one occasion the side split

 

You appear to have had more than your share of misfortune, hope this one lasts a bit longer!

that wasn't by any chance the Real Radio car boot sale was it? :hmm:

I was gonna go and do exactly what you did - look for homebrew kit on the cheap! - unfortunately the way things worked oput we couldn't go

Well that is on 15+ years or AG brewing, so I don't think it wasn't to bad.

It was the Radio Borders one, a one off for some children's charity. Was actually looking for some copper plumping bits but got these instead (along with a £2 water pump for my CH, current one is making some strange noises so good to have a spare : )
