I've just popped a strong ale in the FV after boiling 10g of Northern Brewer for 15 mins, and then 20g of Northern Brewer for 30 mins steep.
I was planning to dry hop on day 7 with another 20g of Northern Brewer but now wondering if I should try and balance it out with another hop.
Another barrel end that I had hopped Northern Brewer as an experiment had an unusual tang to it and I'm not sure whether the NB hop is totally to my taste!
I have EKG, Styrian Goldings, Progress, Mosaic, and Cascade.
Any thoughts on a good hop to pair with NB? (I've seen Cascade paired with it in a Steam Beer recipe....)
...or am I being rash and will the NB tang mellow over time...:hmm:
