Do you think those bins would make good FVs'?

Yes they do, I have been using them for a while now as FV's until I used them for my AG build. Only got one left for an FV :) may have to get myself a couple more?

At that price, I think its got to be worth it, finished my boiler today so quite excited about brewing AG1 in a few weeks when I have a spare FV

Good luck guys, that first brew is the toughest of them all - it gets a whole lot easier after that - but have a cheat sheet, relax, follow it, take your time, enjoy it and don't worry too much :thumb:

Newbie here (to the forum, not to homebrewing, 14 years in, and god only knows how many batches!!!) . Anyway, that boiler looks F***ing brilliant! I'd just love to know how it's all put together, can those joints (sillicone?) witstand the boiling temps safely???

Hi yes the sealant I used is rated 150+ degrees celsius so should be ok...

That's one of the most brilliant things I've seen...fantastic! Can't seem to find the post about fitting the element into the side of the bucket though (probably just my lack of experience finding my way around here..)

I'm going to give this a go, looks great!
