Hi, bad timing...

I have one cornie of carbonated beer and one cornie of newly kegged cider.

We are going on holiday for 2 weeks on friday - how should I manage the kegs so they don't spoil or contaminate during my absence?

What should I do with the gas? I have a regulator with 2 outlets but 1 gauge.

Thanks.

I don't think you have anything to worry about, the c02 will protect it if its in the keg. I have some sitting in cornies from over 6 months ago and they are fine.

You should be ok to just leave the gas connected

I've got some Imperial Stout that's been in a cornie for nearly 18 months and its just getting ready for prime drinking!
I keep a steady 5-10 psi on my cornies depending what is in there.

I just left my connected at serving pressure... Which depends on your temps etc, usually I leave things with just a few psi on it. As long as you have purged all the oxygen, you Will be fine.

Thinking about it ,I had a cider that I couldn't fit in the fridge with the other two cornies, I blasted that with around 30 psi ( after it had been carbonated) and that was left disconnected for a good few months, I checked it every now and then to make sure it was still holding pressure, all was fine.

Enjoy your break, you shouldn't need to worry about your brew :thumb:

Thanks.
Lastly, the cider isn't carbonated. Shall I just use serving press on that while I'm away then up it when I get back?
