I'll buy a ticket please - count me in. Thanks. I'd make this to take to my mother in-law's 60th.
Yeah, because of that £2.95 postage option it's opened up the "oooh, well I could pick up a bit of this and that." option rather than my current delivery boi destroyer orders where I've got to squeeze every gram of a 70 kilo limit. And those add on packs of Mangrove Jack's LME look like a good option even though I've still got 13kg of spraymalt.Hands up for those that have visited their website.....

I'll do my favourite sort of Amazon review :the condition of winning a giveway is that you HAVE to post a review
Just bottled this fella up, did some with the carbonation drops from the kit but the most of it batched primed. Had a cheeky nip and before the priming sugar it was ok but a little bitter, after the priming sugar the grapefruit flavour popped up a bit and it was nice.
Not a hint of kit twang at all at the moment. I did no meddling with this to avoid oxidation apart from taking one gravity reading before the cold crash.
It finished at 1.012 with the 1.2kg of liquid malt extract supplied which is bang on what the website says. I mixed the kit in cold, because I forgot about heating water, and took a refractometer reading which worked out 1.049. I don't know if it would typically be higher. The kit says it's 5.7% and from 1.049 that would be the case with a kilo of sugar but only 4.9% with the malt extract - that's if the start reading was right. They don't say how they calculate things. 4.9% is fine by me.
The dry hop is 25g of simcoe and 25g of cascade and it smelled lovely from the packet. The yeast is MJ 44 and it did take a few days to get going which is typical.
And now I wait.
