Geordie kit- not doing much yet

I have a geordie kit, i know its a dirty word in certain circles but i'm affraid its a lager. (purely because it was the cheapest i could find).
just because i have only til now used the brewzer system, i think i'm ready to step it up a little.

Thing is i followed the instructions to the letter, fully sterilized, exact measurements, now its sittin in the bucket under the kitchen table doing very little, is this normal, there is a very very slight head to it, but not a great deal of activity.

Just another newbie post as i dont really know what i'm doin yet!! :pray:

When did you put in the yeast? Is everything from the kit?

It was around three hours ago, used the yeast it came with, all of it, stirred it in nicely, its just a bit slower reacting than i imagined.

It can take 24 hours to show signs of activity, don't panic yet

Itleapt into life last night.
Its in a bucket with a bubbler fitted,as its the first time i have done it i now realise not to fill the bubbler quite as much......

Yes its gurgling every 10-30 secs now.

Thing is should i have used sterilizer in the bubbler or is just tap water ok???

Water is fine . . . some use Vodka . . . in case of suc kback . . . Chlorine based sanitiser is really a no no :nono:

well yes i was thinking that when i take the lid off it will suck some back in.
