It's actually quite entertaining, especially with kids on an exploring holiday - you need a phone with GPS. We did it on our last holiday to the lake district, the weather was so-so and on rainy days it was good to go to different towns and try it out. I would set up base camp in a good pub and time the searches

i just got a magellan gps pioneer of free cycle in mint condition thought of having a go working of some of the beer i drink lol :thumb: and get the nipper of his ps3 lol

Done it a few times with my smartphone now, pretty good fun. Had a go at some of the more complex hunts where you have to workout clues to get the final coordinates but the phone app never seems to lead to the final destination.

Used to do it most weekends when the kids were younger. There are some very clever caches out there in some very interesting places.
If you like local history or just want to explore your local area caching will take you to places very close that you never knew existed.

Keep meaning to get out and doing it again, maybe on the bike

I started geocacheing a few weeks ago, went out this weekend and found my 7th

I've been at it for a few months. I have my own cache in the Elan Valley that's proving to be rather popular.

It's great fun for people of all ages. I usually take the missus or go hunting when I'm mountain biking.

I love it however i only seem to do it when i go away on holiday not when i go for a walk etc.
