I was in the old Fountain just off City Road in London today on my lunch break and I was sorely tempted to try a pint of....

CLOWN JUICE

Indian Wit Ale

but at 7 per cent I thought I'd better not as my boss may not have appreciated me falling about the office after a few of them.

What are some of your favourite beer names?

Wyre Piddle brewery (and yes, that really is a place name) brew a range including Piddle in the Hole (from a local children's rhyme), Piddle in the Wind, Piddle in the Dark and Piddle in the Snow.

Had quite a few Piddle in the holes....... er the beer I mean ;) even Morrisons sell it.

I know our branch of Morrison's sell it, usually quite cheaply at a quid or £1.10 a bottle, but it's a fairly local brew and I didn't realise they extended it to other Counties.

Yep, we have it in Wales. It's a nice brew, not amazing but perfectly drinkable, and I can't fault the price, especially as it's in a cappable brown bottle with an easily removable label. ;)

Chap in the pub Tuesday was telling me about a friend of his who took out a brewing license and only managed to sell one barrel! he called it -

GRAVEL RASH which I thought was a brilliant name.

Ha, no I'm not, but I stayed there for a week once and it obviously rubbed off on me.

We get it in Hampshire as well :thumb:

Quite appropriate for where I live....I was in The White Lion and their guest ale was....Village Idiot.
Brewed by White Horse.
