I have a St Peters RRA and a Woodfordes Admirals Reseve that both have a fruity taste to them. They taste kind of like a Belgium beer. Whith little knowledge I would have said that this is due to esters and is the result of the temp being too high.

Will the taste die down with time as it matures?

The yeast was pitched at 22c and room temp did not go above 23-24.

The St.Peters RRA is a hoppy smelling brew. You add the powdered hop oils or whatever they are when you brew it. Its quite powerful when first brewed but mellows out into the distinctive St. Peters taste and smell after 5-6 weeks in the bottle Lovelly pint. can't comment on the Admirals Reserve as I've not brewed it.

Cheers for that PD

I worried as they are both a month old and have the same bananay (new word!) taste. The RRA was nice and hoppy when bottling but not any more.
