Hi there I made 1gallon a mixed berry fruit wine back in September and added some kwik clear finnings to the wine. Upon racking the wine I had a little taste. It was ok but both myself and the wife could feel a little fuzz to it. I gave the wine a good shake in the demijohn and could hear some of the gas release from the safety bung. I store the wine under the stairs which has two outside walls and is much colder than the rest of the house.

My questions are
1. Am i better off to bring the wine out and let it sit at room temp for a while and then gve it a good shake to release the CO2?
2. Once i think that all Co2 is out can add more kwik clear?

Thanks

You need to keep shaking it and releasing the CO2 this is best done with a washed hand over the neck, keep shaking it until you don't hear any CO2 escaping when you release your hand.

You will stir all the sediment back up so will have to let it settle again, more kwik clear shouldn't be needed.

Like Chippy says... you need to get all that gas out of there.

Temp wise, colder the better for clearing. If you can somehow squeeze it into your fridge for a week, or a hut/garage it should settle & clear it.

Oh... and welcome :drink:
