I popped out the garage and noticed a "beery" smell. To my horror I noticed that I have lost about a dozen bottles of beer in the frozen tundra of my garage. Some have burst out of the top but other older bottles have just split. Fortunately it is only a small proportion of the collection and most of my current stock survived (except for 6 of my forum Christmas ale).

It shows how cold it has been over the last 48 hours as we had a cold winter last year but I saw nothing like this.

Nae luck with the bottles, but I DO like the idea of "beer lollies"! :thumb:

I'm shouldn't be surprised though - this was the reading on my car sensor in Kirkintilloch this morning...

Let's hope the rest of the brew survives. According to the forecast, it'll be a positively balmy 9C on Friday. :)

It's a small world, made all the smaller by this bloody weather! I've hardly been across the doorstep in a week lol!

I lived the first 7 years of my life on Hillhead Road in Kirkintilloch adn then we moved to Blanefield (my folks still live there).

ouch dunfie! Ive just been out to the garage and mine are fine. I've got my bottles covered with a cardboard box or a fleece just to keep any light off of them so it seems to have kept them from freezing.

Wow! Dunfermline seems to be a bit of a magnet for Kirkie folk!

Re your photo - it's reminiscent of a crime scene. A criminal waste of good beer! Thank goodness a thaw is due. Excellent labels, BTW. :thumb:
