Hi everyone,

yesterday I did my Coopers IPA kit. It's kicked off pretty rapid but I'm getting a lot of froth coming out the fermentation lock. There was less headroom than I would have like as the kit makes 23l.

Is this a problem (lock filled with water only)? and should I take ant special precautions?

Cheers,

Dirtyc

You could take the airlock off, beer can be brewed in an open fermenter. It should be fine covered but with out the airlock.

Cheers guys. I took the lock off and sterilised it again. Stuck it back on late last night. It was bubbling like a shisha pipe! Lol
