Friday Night Treat

Well, it's Friday again, and I've been out to actually buy some beers....I need the bottles

I'm calling in at the local for a couple of pints.....hopefully they will have a 'Brown Cow' pale on offer.....if I'm really lucky the 'Elephant IPA' :pray:

Following on from that I have a few bottles of Punk IPA, a Trashy Blonde and bottle of 5am Saint.....all for the 330ml bottles of course :lol:

I also have a 750ml bottle of La Chouffe - my all time favourite Belgian beer. I'm really in the mood to get stuck in to that, but it's 8% ABV and I have an early start tomorrow for a brewday.

Anyone else got a treat or two to get stuck in to tonight?

..... the evening is going to be planning my next AG brew, is it going to be Black Woolyback again or an experimental new strong ale for my fishing club buddies, OldAnglersArms Ale :hmm:

Well my Den, which is the old workshop next to my garage has become re-christened as 'The Den Brewery' :party:

and my attempt at a well known Salford bitter was labelled Baz-Den-Tons, but some didn't quite get it :wha:

and the Black Woolyback was another sheepish attempt at another well known bitter :lol:

Reading this, it would seem appropriate that I too should have a few so that we can compare headaches tomorrow :lol: although on second thoughts, I'll be up at 6.30am and then stuck behind the wheel. Maybe just a horlicks for me then :geek:

Sounds good to me - :thumb: although I think I am already doing alright out of this brew day (but I won't say no to the IPA obviously :whistle: ).

Missus is out tonight - so I'm stocked up with my own brews and plan to be here getting nicely wasted... pop into the chat and witness the gradual slide downhill into relaxville

On a slightly related note - stopped off on the way home today and had a pint of doombar in a 'glass with a handle'! I haven't drank out of one of those in YEARS!!! Tasted bloodly lovely!

Try boddies on cask now that it's brewed at Hydes. It's a hundred times better than it was. And the best thing that Hydes make.

Just seeing this on Sunday but I picked up something called "Abt" from our biggest (in my opinion) craft brewery in the state of Wisconsin. It's a dark Belgian interpretation:

Can't call in at the pub on the way home tonight as I've got to go and pick up SHMBO new motor.....but I think I'll have a wander down later on. I've already said a prayer for 'Elephant IPA'. It's getting to the time of year when they start to stock darkers beers, which although good are a bit for me.
