Hi, This is probably a stupid question but as im a self confessed noob here goes.... I did my first AG brew last week and all went very well, i froze my remaining hops in their original packets and wrapped in clingfilm. When i want to re-use these do i need to defrost them or shot them straight in the boiler. The reason i asked is because if there frozen when you weigh them surely they would weigh more? or not if theres no water in them to freeze? :wha:
Second question is how do u calculate your effeciancy when AG brewing?

cheers

Hiya!
I usually take my hops out an hour or so before - but as there's no moisture in them it doesn't make too much difference (they weight the same by the way).
To calculate your efficiency you need to take hydrometer readings and use the calculator by clicking the calculator button in the top left of your screen - have a look now and you'll see when you need to take your readings.
