I just discovered a source of reverse osmosis water. I just realised today, although no doubt it's already been mentioned on the forum.
Window cleaners who have the extendable pole system use RO water, cos it doesn't leave water marks. They filter the water in huge quantities so I'm sure most wouldn't mind passing on 30 litres or so every few weeks.
Asked mine today, he said I could have as much as I like (I do know him well though).
Ideal for building water profiles

Its very pure water with all the minerals and other bits removed so you can then build your own water profile by adding the right minerals before brewing.

Exactly, my new supplier tests his water for mineral content and reckons its 99.998% pure water.

I have a marine fish tank and my RO unit is usually running, sadly I use DI resin as a stage 4 filter so wouldn't fancy drinking it any more.

That's true, it does taste bad after going the resin but I'll be able to collect the water before that stage :thumb:
