so I have been doing a bit of a spring clean and I came across 16 bottles that looked a little like

but with more dust on them. not one to be put off by the mere thought of a rusty top I popped one open to see what was in there and was very pleasantly surprised

its cider! pear cider to be exact and its tasty! really clean flavour but a little tart, I guess its been in the bottle for, well, 3 years maybe so its had plenty of time to mature lol.
sadly its a little flat but ho hum its still a little win :)

Nice find :thumb: - and reminds me, I have some bottles of cider somewhere :wha: that I tucked away as it was pretty awful at the time...

from what I remember when this stuff was bottled it stank like egg and fart and was pretty sour, didn't think it would ever become nice lol

This gives me some hope at least :thumb:

Found another! This was in a large champagne bottle and was labelled (from what I could make out) PAAC....

Whatever the hell that means

The bottle produced a pineapple smell so I guess it was pineapple/apple cider lol

Seriously fizzy stuff, like champagne bubbles.
Truth be told if the bottle was ice cold I think this would be pretty tasty, it wasn't ice cold and was a bit 'tangy' for my tastes...

Not bad for 3 year old brew though.
