Saw this in a text book for journalists.

"To those of us who make a living from language and drafting skills – please take note of the importance of correct grammar.
I have noticed that many who text messages & email, have forgotten the "art" of capitalization.
Capitalization is the difference between helping your Uncle Jack off a horse and helping your uncle jack off a horse."

Lesson learnt however I don't think they will be teaching that at my 7 yr olds school. :nono: :nono:

Hey, I didn't even start this one

Anyway, I gave up on Americans' inability to spell as a lost cause a very long time ago.

The Concise English Dictionary spells it using a 'z', and so does The Oxford Dictionary (but with with capitalisation as an alternative).

OH is an Oxford English graduate and concurs that capitalisation is a(n American) corruption of capitalization that has crept into common usage and more 'modern' dictionaries/common usage.
