It has been almost 10 months since my last brew (23/10/2011). My Guinness clone from the Graham Wheeler book (sadly long gone). I have 2 bottles of my Sarah Hughes Dark Ruby Mild (not my best brew so that could be why some has survived). I have been moved into my new house for 4 months now and the Brewery still hasn't been re built. So in desperation I have purchased 2 Kits, a Coopers Mexican Cerveza and the tried and trusted Woodfordes Wherry. So looks like im returning back to the beginning just to get some beer brewed. Now where did I put my cleaning, sterilizing, sanitizing stuff :hmm:

Nowt wrong with kits, they are getting better and better, and in the right hands could easily pass as AG brews. :thumb:

dont worry mick your forgiven you have got a valid excuse im sure the force will be strong and bring you back under our wing :drink: :thumb:

Thanks for your support chaps.
I have done a couple of kits before Nick and they were acceptable (Coopers Bitter & a Wherry) im a little concerned about the Cerveza as there are some negative reviews from some experienced brewers in the Kit Review section.

I havn't been idle in the last 4 months though as I have transformed the Kitchen from

Once the utility room is done it will be all clear to start putting the brewery back to working order.

Oi!!! Can I have my cupboard doors back please??? ;)

I have no idea why you wanted to change from the multicoloured tiles

That is a minor sin compared to mine. I'm on holiday and had to drink about 50 tins of J@#n S*#ths.

I am sorry, and I have still got two nights here. However there is plenty of high gravity homebrew waiting for my return.

I too am commiting a mortal sin. We are away in the lakes. Currently drinking "Wife Beater". I have 15 cans left before Sunday when I can get back to good old homebrew.

Two weeks of living hell.

Your new cupboard doors are very similar to mine too  those coloured tiles were amazing though, why did you replace them with white?! Glad you're getting a bit of brewing space sorted though, all good!

OK Brewers we are back in the game. I cant believe how good the smell of hot malt extract from a can is. So that's 20lts of Coopers Mexican Cerveza and 20lts of Wherry in FV's (made both short for obvious reasons). Used the yeast supplied for the Cerveza but used SO4 for the wherry. Its good to be back :D

I will be back on the homebrew wagon in about an hour , 3 bottles of 7.5% IPA lined up.

Typical. The weekend I get a brew on is the hottest of the year. I have no temp contol for fermenting set up yet so I have had 2 FV's sat in the spare bedroom at about 26/27 degrees so thats going to be good full of funky flavours :(

I am also back into the real world, currently supping Dronfield Pale..yum yum. I have a big brew planned for next week...all last week suppin Stella has sent me funny, I gave away the last few tins to the next tent rahter than drink it....
