Hey Up Guys
Along side my home brew ale I put on a commercial keg of lager (I have a full dispensing set up ie. pub gas cylinder, cooler and font tap).
I'm getting excess foam when dispensing.
I've done all I can with the gas, the flow control, checked all connections and cleaned and cleaned and cleaned all the lines but I'm still getting half a glass of foam.
This is the second keg I have bought, the first one was fine. and I've not changed anything.
Would a FOB detector help do you think or any other suggestions?

don't know why it would change but using thinner line helps. A decent length of 3/16 ths beer line will drop the pressure at the tap and reduce foaming. There are tables kicking about online to tell you exactly what the pressure drop/foot is for different lines

Matt: when we had a hotel years ago we were having the same problem with our kronenberg 1664, asked the brewery technician abo ut the excessive foaming as we were wasting so much beer,he's answer was "disconnect the keg, degas by pushing valve in until it's completely free of gas the shake or roll keg about as vigourously as possible then reconnect, worked every time, just a thought
