Goodness me, what a night, only partially spoiled by the atrocious display of English football.
We brought the raspberry and lime cider bottles out, and it was just great. At about 5% (ish), cold, and fizzy, we both sort of nodded at each other with a look that said 'we can do this'.
So we had a couple of pints, trying to carefully decipher the impact, 'is it strong enough?', 'is it nurtured urine?', then got on with the blackberry wine bottling, obviously, building in a little bit for our test session.
The next few hours is a bit of a whizz, we knocked back quite a bit, but it wasn't quite to the strength of the previous version, which was, it has to be said, too strong (but funny). We're unable to distinguish how the night came to a close.
We've now built up quite a stock, and there's more to come. Roddy's recipes on here are really good, we've taken our brew into our local pub today, and the cider has been complemented by the locals.
Whilst we don't feel like we're experts or anything like that, it's a great hobby, and we really enjoy it. We've got loads more bubbling away, and we enjoy our brew days immensely.
We'll keep you all posted and all our best to everyone.
