Hi everyone. I recently finished my first ever brew and followed the instructions to the letter. However after transferring the brew into the pressure barrel and leaving it for a week I had a taste yesterday and it is flat, any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Did you add priming sugar. How much. Most likely be a leaky pb. Remove the lid, add more sugar, apply Vaseline to the thread, close lid but don't over tighten and leave somewhere warm.

I added 2 ounces of brewing sugar into the pressure barrel and then sealed it for the 7 days. It seems really gassy when I open the tap and a end up with a glass mainly of froth but just doesn’t seem fizzy enough.

So it's not completely flat. Perhaps your expectations of pb's are too high.

It’s my first time ever brewing and it tastes ok, I was pleasantly surprised. Thanks for the reply
