Hi all,

Anyone have an idiots guide into setting up a flash cooler/cornie keg/gas bottle/regulator and dispensing tap, would also need instructions on how to clean the cooler and lines please?

I have all the equipment just need a litle advic eon this set up

:D

I gave up on mine and went down the keggerator route. To clean it though I gassed up a corny with cleaning solution and held the solution in the flash chiller for 20min then flushed with clean water with another corny

If it's really manky push it full of hot caustic / washing soda / whizz oxi action let it soak for 20-30 minutes . . . flush it out . . . do it again . . . repeat until runs clean . . .then use a sanitiser or beer line cleaner to sanitise . . .then rinse . . .then put it inline between corny and tap . . .place in position fill with water switch on and when cool . . .pour cool beer.

Use Beer Line cleaner between every keg

Hi,

The cooler is brand new and is the Maxi 210 cooler, can anyone tell me what lines connect to where on this thing? :wha:

The return and flow are for the python line, ie, it pumps cold water from the bath to and from a chilled beer font (read condensing stella type taps).

The set of 3 ins and outs are where you put the beer from and too, ie, keg to 1 in, 1 out to pump/tap.
You can use the python (return and flow) to cool a fermenter if required. It requires wiring a ATC800 or similar device to control the python pump, simple enough.

ah! so do I need a python line or can I simply run beer through the cooler without it, I assume I can chill 2 beers with this cooler ( 2L in) ?

You can chill 3 beers with that cooler  . You will need to loop the return and flow together though if not using the python, otherwise it'll just pump the contents of the bath all over your floor.
You can see the insides of my 2 line cooler here

As Vossy Said. You need to connect the two pipes that are at right angles (pointing up) together these are the python lines, you need these to be connected to avoid emptying the water bath.

You have three cooling lines each coil is connected as follows . . .

Code:
Coil 1 - O X X X X O
Coil 2 - X O X X O X
Coil 3 - X X O O X X

To use a coil connect the O's together

Of course you can loop the outlet of one line to the inlet of another to get super cool beer
