I had a wee sniffter of my first attempt at a (ahem) "wine" today, 5 days after first racking.
totally stunned, tastes quite nice, handed a wee glass to the mrs to try, her face was a peach, she loved it. happy days.

Good film... anyway... back to the subject... Congrats on making your first wine! I was also pleasantly surprised when i did my first one. Got a few more on the go now.

I have not used any kind of finnings with this, hoping it will clear naturally. what sort of length of time will this take?

I think its different depending on temps, ingredients etc... but for what it's worth my first wow took 2 or 3 weeks to clear.

i bottled 4 djs of wow last week that had been in the cold shed for nearly 3 weeks and hadnt dropped clear so i used finigs on them and within 3 days were perfectly clear.
