So been planning my first two AG brews and have come up with two recipes to kick things off with...I estimate my equipment to be a bit shorter on volume side so am aiming for a batch size of 17.5 litres to begin with (I can tweak this as a I get used to my kit).

As you can see I have kept my first brew fairly simple and made the second a but more complex.

My two recipes are as follows:

AG #1 - "Awesome Ale"

Ingredients:

Ferms:

3.4kg Pale malt, Maris otter
150g Brown Malt
150g Crystal Malt

Hops:
Bittering:
30g Fuggles 90 mins
30g Fuggles 30 mins
Aroma:
30g First Gold 0 mins

Yeast:
California Ale WLP001

Est. OG: 1048

AG#2 - "Scotch Ale"

Ingredients:

Ferms:

3.6kg Pale malt, Maris otter
500g Munich Malt
100g Crystal Malt
50g Roasted Barley
30g Chocolate Malt

Hops:

Bittering:
20g Goldings 60 mins
25g Goldings 15 mins
20g Goldings 5 mins

Aroma:
15g Goldings 0 mins

Yeast:
English Ale WLP002

Est OG: 1055

Any comments/suggestions will be much appreciated! Thanks in advance :)

both sound spot on for a good brew , good luck for them and remember to allow around 6 ish hours per brew . Hope it goes well for you  :D
