Hi folks,
I'm a complete novice and am just about to begin bottling my first batch of homebrew IPA (made with malted barley from the family arable farm in Scotland). Here's my question:
It's been seven days since fermentation has ended, my gravity readings are stable and I'm planning to start bottling in a few days time. However I've just noticed that my beer has developed a darker layer on its surface (see the attached photo). Is this a natural part of the clearing process or something I should be concerned with?
Many thanks for you assistance.
George
